About this build

We build this round-toe work boot from black nubuck oxhide on a Goodyear welted rubberized sole. Inside, the layered lift adds 3.2 inches of height while the 7 1/4 inch shaft maintains a balanced, classic profile. A double padded collar grips the ankle cleanly through a full shift.

Internal lift build

The interior wedge adds 3.2 inches of height. It sits flat inside the heel cup beneath a cloth lining, working with the visible 1 1/4 inch heel so the boot looks balanced from the outside.

Black nubuck upper

We cut the upper from genuine oxhide finished with a soft nubuck grain. The leather softens quickly over the instep, and a double padded collar buffers the ankle against stiffness out of the box.

Goodyear welt sole

A Goodyear welt anchors the upper to the rubberized bottom. The heavy tread provides steady traction across hard surfaces, while the stitchdown construction allows resoling once the lugs wear thin.

Lacing and shaft

Metal eyelets and a rear pull tab secure the 7 1/4 inch shaft around your lower leg. The round-toe box gives your toes room to spread naturally during long hours on your feet.
