About this build

Black oxhide uppers cut over our standard D-width last give these cap toe dress boots a classic formal profile. The internal lift system adds 3.2 inches of height inside the 6 1/2 inch shaft, balanced by a 1 1/4 inch outer heel. We build them with a side zip closure for quick entry and an 18-ounce weight per boot.

Internal lift build

The interior layers add 3.2 inches of height without changing the exterior silhouette. The heel sits deep in the 6 1/2 inch shaft, keeping the foot stable while the visible 1 1/4 inch heel maintains standard dress proportions.

Oxhide upper and cap toe

We cut the upper from black genuine oxhide leather, stitched with a clean cap toe across the front. The hide takes a polish readily and softens at the flex point over repeated wear.

Side zipper closure

A full side zip runs the length of the shaft so you can pull the boot on and off quickly without disturbing the clean lines of the upper. Inside, a soft cloth lining sits smooth against your socks.

Goodyear welt construction

We join the upper and rubberized bottom with traditional Goodyear welt construction for lasting structural integrity. The rubberized outsole provides dependable grip on flat indoor floors and hard pavements.

Good Boot, Misleading Advertising

Nice, stylish boots. Surprisingly comfortable. However, I will warn you that these are not fully integrated, 3” height increasing boots. They come with two extra insoles that add an additional inch, so the baseline boot only adds about 2 inches. Still, the boot is built to handle the extra insoles if you plan to put them in. I have slender feet, and they fit fine. If you had more robust feet or wore thick socks, it might be an issue.

So comfortable. Better than any other competing boots. Waaay better than those height increasing insoles. I am not sure how many inches it add exactly but the quality and comfort... omg... it barely feels like a height increasing shoe. I am buying just Calto from now on.
