About this build

We built this black oxhide cap toe boot for colder weather on our standard men's width last. The internal construction adds 3.2 inches of height behind a 6 1/4 inch shaft and an external 1 1/4 inch heel. Inside, a dense faux fur lining keeps heat in through cold days.

Layered internal lift

The internal stack adds 3.2 inches of height from beneath the footbed. We set it inside a 6 1/4 inch shaft, keeping the heel seated firmly while the exterior profile looks like a classic cap toe boot.

Oxhide leather upper

We cut the upper from black oxhide leather with a reinforced cap toe and lace-up closure. The hide takes polish well and softens along the natural flex points across your foot as you break it in.

Faux fur lining

Soft faux fur lines the interior from the ankle down to the toe box. The layer traps warmth in lower temperatures without crowding the standard medium width fit inside the boot.

Goodyear welted crepe sole

We attach the rubberized crepe sole using Goodyear welt construction. The textured bottom grips pavement reliably, while the welted perimeter allows for eventual resoling after long service on the street.
