About this build

We built this western boot from genuine black oxhide on a 7 inch shaft with a sharp toe and an inside zipper. The internal lift and 2 inch stacked heel together deliver 3.3 inches of added height. Goodyear welt construction joins the upper to a rubberized bottom for solid daily wear.

Internal lift structure

Our layered internal lift system works with the 2 inch stacked heel to provide a total rise of 3.3 inches. The incline stays hidden inside the 7 inch shaft, keeping the exterior look identical to traditional western footwear.

Genuine oxhide upper

The exterior uses black genuine oxhide leather that shapes to your foot with wear. A side zipper allows quick entry and exit without loosening the firm structure around the ankle.

Goodyear welt build

We assemble this boot using Goodyear welt construction, securing the leather upper directly to the rubberized bottom. This method adds durability at the waist and allows straightforward resoling after seasons on hard ground.

Cloth lining and fit

Lined in breathable cloth, the interior sits comfortably against socks all day. We build these on a standard US men medium D width last, weighing 22 ounces per boot in size 7.5.

Size, fit and quality are good. Not super comfortable, but not horrible either... I'd say they cost more than I would have loved. I love the style of these, kind of look like a cowboy boot & I like that people would just assume I'm taller because I have a "cowboy" boot on, not lift shoes.
