About this build

We built this men's high-top sneaker on a 5 3/4 inch shaft with soft grey nubuck leather. The internal lift adds 2.6 inches while the outer profile shows only a modest 1 inch heel. It combines the ankle coverage of a technical combat boot with the flexible ground feel of a rubberized sneaker sole.

Internal lift stack

The layered build adds 2.6 inches of height inside the footbed. We shape the internal rise to sit flush against the heel counter, leaving the outer silhouette proportional to a standard high-top sneak-boot.

Grey nubuck upper

We cut the upper from soft grey nubuck leather that takes daily creasing naturally. The padded collar circles the ankle for a snug fit, while cement stitched construction anchors the leather firmly to the base.

Lining and footbed

Cloth and leather line the interior to manage moisture through a full day of wear. The standard D width accommodates regular foot shapes without pinching across the ball of the foot.

Rubberized bottom

The outsole uses a rubberized compound that flexes with each step on pavement. At 20 ounces based on a size 7.5 US, the sole keeps the shoe planted without excess bulk.
