About this build

A bright white knit upper gives this sporty lace-up walker a clean profile and plenty of airflow. We build the full 2.8 inch lift directly into the footbed, keeping the outer rear sole to a moderate 1 1/4 inches. The total shoe weighs around 12 ounces in a men's size 7.5.

Internal lift stack

The interior build adds 2.8 inches of height without altering the athletic silhouette. We position the lift flush with the heel counter so the foot rests firmly inside the 4 1/4 inch shaft.

Breathable knit upper

We knit the entire upper and inner lining from flexible synthetic yarn in crisp white. The open weave lets air circulate freely across the foot, while standard eyelets and laces secure the instep.

Cemented rubberized sole

The outsole uses a flexible rubberized compound bonded with cement construction. It absorbs pavement strike while keeping the bottom profile close to that of a standard running shoe.

Weight and fit

Built on our standard D width men's last, this pair weighs approximately 12 ounces for a single shoe in size 7.5. The padded knit collar hugs the ankle without stiff pressure points.

Nice mix of casual and dressy in a shoe

These are very nice shoes. They are sturdy, comfortable, and they look good. They make me 1.5 inches taller above what my current shoes provide. This is somewhat subtle and no one should notice the difference unless you tell them. It does take some getting used to walking on essentially high heels especially going up stairs. They are lightweight and provide good traction. I would definitely buy these or similar from this brand again.

My favorite shoes for decades have been J&M, but CALTO might have just replaced them if their quality is always this good. I am very satisfied with my new shoes. I'm surprised by their comfort and fit. I give them five stars for appearance, comfort, proper size, and they do what was expected, lift. I'm about to order another pair, but leather dress shoes. I'll be back with another write up soon.
