About this build

We build this dress boot on a classic high-top last with a clean cap toe and a 6 1/2 inch shaft. The internal lift adds 2.8 inches without distorting the outer profile, which keeps a standard 1 1/4 inch visible heel. Rich brown oxhide uppers sit on a Goodyear welt and a durable rubberized bottom.

Internal lift build

The hidden rise adds 2.8 inches through an integrated lift stack secured inside the heel counter. From the outside, the boot reads as a standard dress silhouette with a modest 1 1/4 inch outer heel.

Brown oxhide upper

We cut the uppers from genuine oxhide leather finished in deep brown. The leather takes a rich shine across the cap toe, and soft cloth lining runs through the interior to keep the foot comfortable across long days.

Goodyear welt sole

Traditional Goodyear welt stitching secures the upper to a sturdy rubberized bottom. This construction method provides dependable durability underfoot while allowing for eventual resoling down the road.

Lace closure and fit

Standard lacing runs up the 6 1/2 inch shaft for a secure, custom wrap across the instep. Sized on our medium D width, each boot weighs roughly 20 ounces based on a men's size 8.5.
