About this build

We build this work-style boot on a classic men's last with a 7 1/2 inch shaft. The layered internal lift adds 3 inches to your height while the outer profile shows a standard 1 1/2 inch heel. Heavy-duty brown nubuck covers the exterior, fully lined with smooth leather throughout.

Internal lift structure

The hidden rise adds 3 inches inside the boot without distorting the outer profile. A moderate 1 1/2 inch outer heel balances the slope, keeping the footbed secure through a full day on your feet.

Nubuck leather upper

We chose a thick brown nubuck that softens with wear and takes scuffs naturally. A soft leather lining runs from the padded collar down to the toe box to prevent friction across the top of the foot.

Lace and zip closure

Traditional eyelets let you tension the fit across the instep once. After that, the inside zipper allows quick access without undoing your laces each morning.

Goodyear welt build

A composite rubberized outsole is stitched directly to the welt for reliable traction on wet pavement. This construction keeps the boot solid at nineteen ounces per foot on a standard D width.
