About this build

We build this high-top wing-tip derby on a Goodyear welt base using black genuine oxhide. The 3.2 inch total height increase rests inside the 6 1/4 inch shaft, balanced over a visible 1 1/4 inch outer heel. A cloth lining softens the interior against the foot.

Internal lift build

The layered midsole and heel lift add 3.2 inches of height within the boot. Because the shaft reaches 6 1/4 inches high, the internal incline stays well enclosed by the leather counter.

Black oxhide upper

We cut the upper from genuine oxhide and finish it with brogue punching across the wing tip and quarters. The hide takes black paste wax well and breaks in along your natural stride lines.

Goodyear welt construction

The upper attaches to the rubberized bottom through a stitched Goodyear welt. This method creates a stable foundation beneath the footbed, helping the boot hold its structure through repeated wear.

Lace closure and lining

A standard lace-up closure lets you tighten the quarters over the instep for a close D-width fit. Inside, smooth cloth lines the interior to manage friction against your socks throughout the day.
