About this build

A midtop lace-up pattern cut from smooth black oxhide leather. We build a 2.8 inch lift into the interior, matched with a 1 inch outer heel to keep the profile clean and grounded. The 5 1/2 inch shaft collar covers the heel counter fully.

Internal 2.8 inch lift

We conceal the full 2.8 inch lift inside the shoe body. A standard 1 inch outer heel balances the slope, giving the shoe the stance of a regular flat cupsole sneaker.

Oxhide upper and lining

We build the upper from black oxhide leather and line the interior with smooth leather. The midtop collar wraps the ankle softly and breaks in steadily with regular wear.

Rubber sole construction

The outsole is fully rubberized for consistent grip on pavement. Cement construction bonds the oxhide upper directly to the bottom unit, keeping the 22 oz weight balanced across the foot.

Midtop lace closure

A 5 1/2 inch shaft height pairs with standard front laces on our medium D-width last. You can tie the laces tight across the instep to lock your heel down against the lift.
