About this build

We build this men's fisherman sandal with rich black pebble grain leather over an injection molded rubberized sole. Inside, the layered lift adds 2.8 inches while the enclosed cage design keeps the foot secure. A hidden elastic strap stretches as you walk, holding the heel tight across warm days.

Pebble grain upper

We cut the closed-toe straps from black pebble grain leather and line the interior fully with smooth leather. The strap configuration shields the toes while leaving open vents along the quarter for steady airflow in hot weather.

Hidden lift stack

The internal lift contributes to a total 2.8 inch rise across the footbed. We set a 1 inch visible heel at the base and build the remaining height directly inside the 5 1/2 inch shaft profile.

Flexible elastic strap

An integrated elastic strap stretches across the instep to let your foot slip in without fussing over buckles. It maintains gentle tension as you move, preventing heel slippage over long walks across hard pavement.

Injection molded bottom

The lightweight rubberized bottom uses cement construction to keep the sandal down to roughly 17 ounces per shoe. The tread grips dry pavement and damp docks while dampening footfall through everyday wear.
