About this build

We build this slip-on loafer with a 3 inch lift concealed within the internal footbed. The upper uses smooth copper brown leather over a flat square front, assembled with cement construction for a lighter feel. Hidden elastic inserts along the opening ease entry and keep the fit firm across the top of your foot.

Internal 3 inch lift

We place the layered lift inside the heel cup to add 3 inches of height. The profile mimics a standard dress shoe, masking the internal rise beneath the leather counter.

Bicycle toe upper

The smooth copper brown leather is shaped with a flat square front and double stitched bicycle seams. A thin-padded collar cushions the rim without adding bulk around your ankle.

Hidden elastic closure

Concealed elastic panels on either side of the instep flex as you slide your foot in. They hold the upper close without the need for traditional laces or external buckles.

Outsole and construction

Cement construction pairs the upper to a low-profile outsole with a 1 1/4 inch outer heel. The build keeps total weight down to 18 ounces for a single shoe in size 7.5.
