About this build

We build this low-top derby from brown oxhide leather with fine micro-perforations across the quarters. Inside, a layered lift system adds 3 inches of height without disturbing the neat dress silhouette. The shoe rests on a flexible rubber outsole and weighs roughly 16 ounces in a US size 7.5.

Internal lift stack

The concealed lift rests beneath a full leather lining to provide 3 inches of height. The visible outer heel measures 1 inch, keeping the external profile low and proportional through the rear quarter.

Oxhide leather upper

We cut the upper from genuine oxhide leather finished in rich brown, detailed with punched micro-perforations. The skin softens as you wear it and takes cream polish well over time.

Rubberized bottom

The outsole is fully rubberized for steady grip over slick floors and pavements. We use cement construction to keep the bottom unit lightweight and flexible from the first wearing.

Collar and shaft

A 5 inch shaft height maintains a low-top cut around the ankle while leaving enough depth for the internal wedge. Thin wax laces draw the open-lacing throat tight over the instep.
