About this build

We build this formal cap toe oxford with genuine black oxhide and a hidden 3 inch lift. The inner lift sits over a Goodyear welt construction, paired with a lightweight synthetic rubber sole to keep the weight down to 15 ounces. Standard laces close the low-top throat over a smooth leather lining.

Full grain oxhide upper

We cut the upper from genuine black oxhide and stitch a clean cap toe across the front. The leather takes a rich polish and breaks in cleanly across the vamp with regular wear.

Internal 3 inch lift

The 3 inch rise is layered entirely inside the shoe, resting above an outer heel that measures 1 1/4 inches. The 5 inch shaft height encloses the heel counter naturally.

Goodyear welt build

We join the upper and sole with traditional Goodyear welt construction for longevity. A synthetic rubber outsole keeps the total weight at 15 ounces on a size 7.5 US men's shoe.

Leather lined interior

A full leather lining wraps the inner footbed to absorb moisture through a long day. The standard D width accommodates regular volume feet comfortably through the midfoot and heel.
