About this build

Smooth black leather shapes this ankle boot, built on a Goodyear welt for long-term resoleability. We stack the interior to yield 3.2 inches of height while maintaining a balanced profile. The square toe and lace-up closure keep the look structured from morning to night.

Goodyear welt build

We stitch the upper and sole using genuine Goodyear welt construction. This gives the boot dependable durability over years of wear and allows a cobbler to resole the bottom when the tread wears down.

Internal 3.2 inch lift

The full 3.2 inches of lift sits nested within the heel counter and midsole. It remains hidden beneath the footbed so the exterior reads as a standard 1 1/4 inch heel.

Smooth leather upper

We cut the upper from smooth black leather that breaks in naturally around the foot. A thin padded collar sits against the ankle beneath the 6 1/4 inch shaft to reduce friction.

Lace closure and fit

Blind eyelets secure the laces along the throat, holding the heel firmly back against the internal riser. The men's D width fits true through our size run from 6 to 9.

What wearers say

Good but a little misleading.

These are definitely not long-distance walking shoes for sure, and I do not recommend running in them. With that being said, it only made me around 2.5 inches taller. I am 5'8 and a half and a weak 5'11 in these shoes. I was expecting a nearly 6 foot but I bought a pair of 0.5-inch lifts and now I'm roughly 6 foot while wearing these.

Could be a little more comfortable

Could be a little more comfortable. Also, learning curve to walk in these. Boosted me a few inches! I will gladly sacrifice comfort to wear these when I go out places to give me a boost!
