About this build

We build this runner on our standard D width last with a flexible knit upper and matching black sole. An internal lift adds 2.4 inches of height beneath the footbed, hidden behind a 5 1/4 inch shaft. It feels light on the foot and ties with round black laces.

Internal lift structure

The hidden wedge integrates directly above the midsole to yield a measured 2.4 inch rise. It maintains a flat foot strike across pavement without shifting your balance.

Knit upper construction

Woven black yarn shapes the entire upper for continuous airflow around the vamp and collar. The material stretches gently over the foot and retains its shape after long walks.

Synthetic rubberized outsole

We molded the sole from a rubberized compound that weighs roughly 9 ounces per shoe in size 7.5. Cement construction bonds the outsole firmly to the upper.

Collar and shaft profile

A 5 1/4 inch shaft wraps the ankle to anchor the heel counter over the internal riser. The low-profile throat opening keeps the silhouette clean under denim or cuffed trousers.
