About this build

We built this pull-on trainer around a hidden 2.1 inch riser that sits beneath the footbed. The black mesh upper lets heat escape, while the low outer heel keeps the silhouette looking like a typical gym shoe. We set the whole build on a flexible rubberized bottom for light travel.

Internal lift

A layered riser inside the heel adds 2.1 inches while keeping the foot seated correctly. The visible 1 inch outer heel maintains a standard profile.

Slip on mesh upper

Woven black mesh stretches over the instep for an easy slip-on fit without laces. The cloth inner lining rests smooth against thin athletic socks.

Rubberized sole

We bond the synthetic sole using cement construction to keep the bottom flexible. It cushions contact with hard pavement through long walks.

Lightweight build

By stripping away heavy hardware and thick counters, we keep this runner at 8 ounces. The low shaft collar sits below the ankle bone.
